Thanks to all the UMFA members who attended Flute Fest 2016, either as a participant, a volunteer, a performer, or a presenter! Based on Survey results, everyone had a wonderful time and felt that the venue at Plymouth Church was a good one. The most common disappointment expressed in the survey was that there were just too many events to be able to attend everything of interest! There were many ideas offered for ways to have an even better event next year. The Board appreciates all the feedback and looks forward to seeing everyone again next year and at the many UMFA events between now and then.
You are an UMFA member - now is the time to become more involved! You can volunteer at whatever level is convenient for you - either helping for just a few hours at an event or for a specific task, or helping on a more regular basis as one of our coordinators or committee chairs. Some of the positions that are now open or will soon need to be filled are Technology Chair, Volunteer Coordinator, Newsletter Editor, NFA 2017 Local Planning Committee, and Scholarship Selection Chair. If you would like to be more involved in our organization, or if you would like details about these positions and others, please contact our President, Trudi Anderson, at firstname.lastname@example.org or our Volunteer Coordinator, Joy Isakson, at email@example.com.
