Upper Midwest Flute Association
 
UMFA sponsors several major events for its members each year like Flute Fest and Parlor Concerts. Other past events have included Attend a Flute Recital Month, featuring eight performances of flutists with a variety of ensembles and settings, and the Fall Event, which featured a guest artist in a master class and recital and a pedagogy panel covering a variety of issues with prominent regional teachers.

     Contact Marcia Metzger (msmet619@yahoo.com or 651-336-7138) if you wish to perform, attend this concert or would like to host a concert yourself.  UMFA provides the accompanist (Jeana Ogren) or you may bring your own accompanist.  Rehearsal with Jeana begins at 1:00 p.m. at the concert location.  Performers may also play works for solo flute, duets or other ensembles.  Audience members are invited to bring their flutes, piccolos or altos (and stands) and join in a flute choir reading session following the performance.  We have room for 5 more performers.  Sign up today!
