Membership Benefits

Dues entitle members to free entry to events sponsored by UMFA, such as the Flute Fest and master classes, four issues of the newsletter, and an annual member directory. 

UMFA publishes four newsletters each year. The newsletters contain scholarly articles on flute playing and pedagogy, reviews and previews of concerts, competitions, and events, a marketplace for instruments/accessories, and more! Articles are geared towards all levels: the youngest players through adult amateurs and professionals.

Member Exclusive Website Access
Members can also benefit from the following by logging on to the member exclusive area:

• Reset password or set password for new members (help)
  
• Update your own contact information (help)
  
• Access the current private member directory to search for other members and their contact info
• Download the latest (print version) of the member directory
  
• Register for events - go to the event page, select the event, click the register button, click new registration and follow the directions
  
• Renew membership (manual payment only - online payment coming soon) (help)
  
• Access to the marketplace to post or respond to "for sale" items
