WHEN/WHERE
The 2022 Youth Flute Day will be held Saturday, February 26th from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Eden Prairie.
WHO
Youth Flute Day worskshops are geared towards high school flutists of various playing abilities. The day's events are also appropriate for serious middle school flutists and undergraduate non-music major students.
WHAT
An interactive series of flute workshops featuring local professional flute teachers. Events will include a warm-up class, performance masterclass, and MMEA All-State scale and etude workshop, ornaments class, and flute choir reading session.
MASTERCLASS AUDITION
Students interested in performing in the masterclass should submit a recent video performance of the solo they wish to perform in the class (maximum 5 minutes). An accompanist is not required and will not be provided for the class. Masterclass applications will be reviewed as they are received.
REGISTRATION
A current UMFA student membership is required for participation, in addition to a $15 registration fee. Scholarships are available.
